Trip Ideas for Your Next Spring Break Getaway
Spring break may bring memories of “Beach Blanket Bingo” or of youth adventures, or even thoughts of college kids partying way too hard. After a cold winter, spring break is a time to get away and enjoy yourself in a warmer climate. But why should you have to do that and fight the crowds? Point your Entegra Coach towards the Sun and we’ll research where you should go to soak up some spring fun.
Northwest:
Portland, Oregon
Portland is becoming an up-and-coming destination for Spring Breakers. People who don’t book beach destinations in time head there. The farmer’s market is an adventure in itself because of its huge variety of goods, but the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is a real treat for the eyes. If you want to see these spring flowers in their full glory, head to Portland. (Studies have proven that flowers make you healthier and happier) Oregon’s whale watching season peaks twice a year: during winter (mid-December–mid-January) and spring (late February–May). That’s when as many as 20,000 gray whales migrate between the icy seas of Alaska and their breeding lagoons in Baja California, Mexico. (A couple hundred of these mammoth swimmers also stick around the Oregon Coast all year-round.) Find a place to stay here

Moab, Utah
Adults, you will love the adventures Moab has to offer. Attempt rock climbing with Moab Desert Adventures, rent a Jeep and drive 4WD trails, go horseback riding, hiking and canyoneering. Seen from the air, the town of Moab looks like an outpost surrounded by a sea of buckled, twisted and worn sandstone sculpted by millennia of sun, wind and rain. Driving by coach from the north or east, winding canyon walls hide Moab from view until you reach the edge of town, making it feel more like you’ve discovered Moab than merely arrived. San Antonio, Texas
If you want to make your Spring Break a cultural experience, everything’s bigger in Texas. This year the city celebrates its Tricentennial. San Antonio’s 300-year history began in May 1718 with the founding of the San Antonio de Béxar Presidio and Mission San Antonio de Valero (now the Alamo), whose inhabitants helped lay the foundation for the eclectic art, diverse culture and stunning innovations that have become signatures of life in San Antonio. Visit the Historic Pearl for the city’s best food and restaurants. The more adventurous travelers can test their mental and physical strength at Extreme Escape. You’ll have an hour to find your way out of a real-life puzzle in a room. Another way to test yourself is with the Canopy Challenge and Zip Lines. The courses are filled with dozens of obstacles such as tightropes and small beams to cross. Visit Amazing Jumps, one of the largest trampoline parks in the country. You can even play basketball and bounce on trampoline courts. Find a place to stay here
